 Oklahoma Council forTeachers of Mathematics

The members of the
Oklahoma Council of Teachers of Mathematics shall promote better teaching
of mathematics in the schools of Oklahoma by holding meetings for the
presentation and discussion of papers, by conducting surveys and investigations
pertinent to its objectives, and encouraging publication and distribution
of material designed to improve the teaching of mathematics.
This Oklahoma affiliate
of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics has a 27 member Board
of Directors and a nine member Executive Board. OCTM members meet quarterly
and host an annual Mathematics Teachers' conference usually held in
Oklahoma City. Members of our organization are elementary, middle school,
secondary, and higher education faculty who have made commitments to
improve mathematics instruction for the children of Oklahoma.
